Inside Passage
I just returned from the most amazing Alaska cruise. This collection of paintings highlights some of the most spectacular scenery I've ever seen. I was up on the deck every morning before 4:30 AM photographing the sunrise. During this 7 day cruise I took over 4500 photos and did several drawings and watercolor sketches. It was hard to stay in our balcony room cabin for to long because I didn't want to miss the scenery on the other side of the ship. The cruise line probably has to replace the decking because I was constantly running from side to side taking pictures! My son and I even took a helicopter ride and walked on a glacier, and hired a bush pilot to fly us over some of the most rugged terrain in the world. These paintings are all 9x12, oil on canvas mounted to board. I primed the canvas with a black gesso to start with. They are framed and ready to hang and are priced at $700. each.

Tarahumara Project
Tarahumara
The Rarumari (or running people) as the Tarahumara Indians call themselves, are an ancient tribe who have inhabited the Copper Canyon of Mexico for many centuries. They live in rock caves and small cabins. The current drought conditions and failed crops has taken a heavy toll on these people reducing their number to around 80,000.
I have teamed up with two fellow artists and we have made several mission trips down to help these people. We have delivered food to them and have had the privilege of building a relationship with some of the families. These paintings and many more will be used in fundraiser events on their behalf. At least 40% of the purchase from my website will be given directly to help these people through the building of a clinic and the construction of greenhouses.
